Curtis Johnson Joins Missouri Department of Higher Education Lender Advisory Committee

(Jefferson City, MO – November 9, 2006) – Curtis Johnson, President and COO of Student Funding Group, LLC. (StuFund), has become a member of the Missouri Department of Higher Education (MDHE) Lender Advisory Committee for the student loan program. This committee is comprised of approximately 10 members from various lender, service, and secondary market organizations. Its purpose is to advise the MDHE regarding market conditions, customer needs and wants, and issues impacting the lenders, servicers, and secondary markets operating in the state of Missouri in the Federal Family Education Loan (FFEL) Program.
As part of this committee, Mr. Johnson will help to advise the MDHE on topics such as marketplace issues and trends impacting guarantors in Missouri and/or nationally. When possible, the lender advisory committee will recommend strategies and/or changes in policy or procedure that would best meet the needs of each of the MDHE’s target audiences. The committee will also make recommendations regarding revisions to and the implementation of federal and/or state statutes, laws, and/or regulations that relate to the administration of the FFEL program. Additionally, the committee will identify and recommend actions or strategies that will allow the MDHE to better partner with its lender, servicer, and secondary market organizations and colleagues.
